In addition to the honeycomb approach, you’ll want to supplement it with “ bait chests“. You could also opt for using level two walls for the inner 3×3 loot room, and you could use a combination of level two and one walls in the honeycomb, but you would need additional layers around the loot room, and this approach is definitely less secure. When they break through the outer layer walls they’ll be generating noise, and at a certain point the noise will reach a threshold where they are no longer able to destruct any more walls. The outer grids should also have doors built between every section to increase the amount of work the raider has to do.Ī raider can still bust into a stone room with C4, but they’ll have to break through all of the layers of honeycombed tier two walls before they can reach your storage room. I’d recommend at least three full layers of honeycomb around your central room to be safe (more is better). A layer of level one walls can be used on the outermost layer of your honeycomb. Honeycombing your base is basically starting off with a 3×3 stone room in the middle(larger would be optimal), with all of your valuable loot placed inside this room, and then creating a square grid of level 2 walls all around that room.
